Attic office conversion

In this 1920s semi, a new loft room was commissioned for a busy internet entrepreneur. Structural steelwork was needed to take the new floor and to support a partially removed chimney stack. In order to accommodate the new staircase the layout of two of the first floor rooms were modified too. A new velux roof window and gable-end casement window were added and a fire-rated wall window’ was used to let more daylight in across the top of the new staircase.

Structural stud-work was built off of the steels and used to build multiple cupboards for a very large storage area in the eves for the business…
