An old poor quality storage area was removed and a more substantial cupboard was build, using architrave and skirting-board milled’ to match the existing Edwardian styles used. An existing door was re-cycled to tie the cupboard in with the rest of the house…

The two first floor window bays of this detached 1920s house are clad with the original clay tiles that have decayed and darkened over time. The owner now wants to modernise and lighten the look of the bays by replacing them with cedar strip-cladding which itself will go silver over time… The old battens have been stripped and new ones fitted. The new cedar cladding arrives this week…
The edges of the new cedar bays have now been rendered to match the original house finish…
