Bespoke cupboards…
An old poor quality storage area was removed and a more substantial cupboard was build, using architrave and skirting-board milled’ to match the existing Edwardian styles used. An existing door was re-cycled to tie the cupboard in with the rest of the house…
This wall and both doorways were built as part of this job. Again all architrave, picture rail and skirting-board was milled’ to match and the doors used re-claimed…
Extension drawings
My own architectural designs for an ornate extension featuring a curved copper roof, bespoke curved lazer-cut powdered coated trellis and hidden box guttering. The copper roof will slowly weather to a verdigris colour to blend-in with the especially painted trellis…
1930s house renovations…
Old kitchen doorway removed, blocked up and window replaced with long window in readiness for new fitted kitchen. The single storey extension roof has had its flat/vaulted ceiling removed, the rafters system strengthened and new velux windows added to bring in some much-needed daylight. The small bathroom had a separate toilet next to it. Now knocked-through into one bigger room with two windows. The corner wall has been partly blocked up to allow for a shower mixer in the new bath…
The bathroom has been now fitted with a ‘shaker style’ obscured-glass door, plastered and tiled – waiting for the plumber to do his thing’
Modernisation of windows bays, 1920s house.
The two first floor window bays of this detached 1920s house are clad with the original clay tiles that have decayed and darkened over time. The owner now wants to modernise and lighten the look of the bays by replacing them with cedar strip-cladding which itself will go silver over time… The old battens have been stripped and new ones fitted. The new cedar cladding arrives this week…
The edges of the new cedar bays have now been rendered to match the original house finish…

Phase 1 of this interesting renovation project: removing the old, cold and leaky plastic roof, and in its place, building a new timber structure with a two-part flat roof finished with long-life EPDM roofing membrane. Temporary plastic coverings have been put in place until new bespoke timber roof-lanterns are built and ready to install…
