converting a flat ‘cold’ roof to a ‘warm one’

This job involves converting around 30 square metres of ‘cold’ type flat roof – where the insulation is between the rafters under the roofing panel sheets/membrane – to a ‘warm’ one – where the insulation is now above the roof panels – this type of roof does not need to be ventilated like a cold roof type and is more thermally efficient. We’re also fitting a large triple-glazed roof-light window and a new domed one too. All the existing, old school, felt was stripped and binned and the exising ply upgraded with better panelling. New timbers have been added to make the new large window opening. The new roofing ply is then topped with a vapour barrier membrane, solid insulation boards then added and taped, then the vapour barrier is wrapped around boards and taped too.
